Gifts of Personal Property

Do you have a coin or stamp collection that you no longer wish to maintain? Has someone left you artwork that is not quite your style? Is there a second car taking up space in your driveway? Gifting personal property is a wonderful - and often overlooked - way of supporting SDOF. These tangible items are collected throughout the year and sold at our annual garage sale or on our eBay Fundraising site. Please email us if you have something you'd like to donate.

Gifts of Real Estate

Gifts of real estate provide an easy way to support SDOF's endeavors. If you have owned your residence, vacation home, office building, acreage, or vacant lot for many years, a charitable gift of that real estate can be especially tax advantageous to you! The property may have so appreciated in value through the years that its sale would mean a sizeable capital gains tax. By making a gift of this property to SDOF instead, you avoid the capital gains tax and at the same time qualify for a fully deductible contribution equal to the property's fair market value.
