You may already know that the San Diego Oceans Foundation has been sponsoring and helping to fund the mooring project in San Diego’s Wreck Alley. Funds have been donated by individuals, dive clubs and many of the San Diego Dive Boat Operators. Volunteers have been providing the manual labor, along with the Lois Ann providing the transportation. Recently we’ve even been able to expand the project; there are now 3 moorings and one marker on the Yukon, 2 moorings and one marker on the Ruby E, one marker and one mooring on the El Rey and a mooring on the NEL/NOSC Tower.

As always the issue is money. The Dive Boat's regular donations are what we’ve been relying on so far. The desire to become more independent from strictly donations is what fueled the San Diego Wreck Alley T-shirt.

All proceeds generated by the shirt go directly into the SDOF Moorings Fund; the shirts were also paid for with this specific fund.
