When do I volunteer?

Our programs are designed to work around your schedule. You can attend a group event with SDOF staff members who are there to answer all of your questions, or simply review the information online and go out on your own. When scheduling a date to go out on your own, you do not need to inform us. If you'd like to attend a group event, check out our online 'Calendar of Events' and RSVP to volunteer@sdoceans.org.

Is an appointment required to pick up Storm Drain Stenciling kits?

Yes. We have a limited supply of kits, so you must call ahead. To make an appointment or be added to our waiting list, call (619) 523-1903.

Does everyone in my group need to stop by the SDOF office to pick up supplies for Storm Drain Stenciling?

No. Only one person needs to come in, pick up supplies, and can relay the information to the rest of the group.

Where do I send photos to verify my volunteer time?

Send photos to: volunteer@sdoceans.org

Do I have to attend an orientation for Canyon Watch?

Orientations are highly recommended, but are not required to participate. If you attend an orientation, it will not count towards a free Disney ticket. If you decide to attend an orientation, we recommend that only 1-2 member(s) of your group attends to leave room for others.

When can I expect my free Disneyland voucher?

Once your volunteer service is been completed and verified, SDOF will contact Disney and let them know. You should receive your voucher via email within two weeks. Please do not contact SDOF during this time period because we do not have any other information.

Is there a way to FASTPASS the waiting list for participation?

Yes, all SDOF members have priority for the Disney promotion participation. But don't worry, it's easy to become a member and it's tax deductible! Click here for more information.
